A tour of East Boston lasting from most of the day (10:30AM-4:30PM). Ride from Cambridge Crossing Area to Boston on cycle tracks, catch the ferry to East Boston, explore East Boston Greenway waterfront trails and East Boston Greenway, play in the sand at Constitution Beach, enjoy wonderful playgrounds, have lunch and Italian ice at beachside concessions shop.
Sadly no box bikes, too hard to load on the ferries and make tight turns on ferry docks.
Attendees are responsible for their owns costs for this event, costs are the ferry ticket which is $4.80 per person 12 and older (kids 11 and under ride free) and whatever food you purchase.
Lunch options: 1) Bring your own lunch 2) get food from Beachside Cafe right next to Constitution Beach 3) Grab takeout from restaurants in the Maverick area such as Cafe Iterum, Florenza, Los Alebrijes, El Rinconcito Colombiano.
Due to the constraints of the small boats, registration is especially important for this ride, we need a count so we can plan how to get everyone across the water, likely on more than 1 boat. We will likely limit participation to 50 people. To encourage registration, the start location will be sent to only registered participants.
Due to the large mid day gap in ferry schedule it is hard to make this a shorter day but if you have constraints write to us in the registration comments or contact us and we can advise what we can do at the margins.
