Family Bike Ride organizes family friendly rides and other events in cities and towns around Boston to provide fun, promote awareness of bike friendly infrastructure and encourage cycling.
We have 3 main categories of events:
Seasonal rides: annual Spring/Summer/Halloween large group ride/festival hybrid events that vary in route but follow traditions with mass appeal
Bonus rides: ad hoc smaller group rides that don't fit into the formula of seasonal rides, often because they are longer distance/time
Test Drive events: people with cargo bikes help others considering acquiring them

Volunteer
More volunteers means more things are possible! There are many ways both limited and expansive to volunteer according to your interests. Including marshaling crosswalks at rides, putting up (and taking down) signs at playgrounds advertising rides, leading games at rides, brainstorming event ideas/giving feedback, event planning, doing artwork for upcoming rides, soliciting donations/sponsorships, coordinating with political efforts by others for safe street initiatives in area towns.
